Bishop Verrona Burns Brown has been in the ministry for over forty years and was trained and mentored under her father, Apostle Roosevelt Burns, and her grandmother, the late Pastor Virginia L. Burns.  Bishop Roni was ordained a pastor in 1996 by her father and was mentored to lead the Churches of Deliverance, Inc while he was living.  After her father's transition on September 16, 2017, she became responsible for the church he was pastoring and the Churches of Deliverance. 

 

On August 11, 2018, Verrona Burns Brown became the second General Overseer of the Churches of Deliverance, INC. and was consecrated Bishop and affirmed an Apostle by Apostle Michael Densmore, Chief Prelate and Presiding Bishop of Community Churches of God, Incorporated.  She continues to carry out the divine mandate given to her father from the Lord.

 

Bishop Roni, as she is known, has been actively involved in early ministry thought-out her life.  She has been a blessing to many people by delivering God's message of faith, love, hope, and deliverance.   She is a passionate speaker, teacher, singer, and preacher with a beacon of knowledge and spiritual insight. 

 

Bishop Roni is a visionary, and she's looking forward to church growth by training this generation in the word of God, sending them forth into all the world to preach the gospel to a world that needs a savior.  She received her master's degree and a doctorate in theology from International Theology Seminary.

 

She is married to the love of her life, Minister William, Sr, and together they're looking forward to bringing thousands upon thousands of souls into the kingdom of God. They're the proud parents of three children Cindy, William, Jr., and Angel, and they're proud grandparents of twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
